Guided Tours of Cape Town and surrounds

UP was inspired by the thriving bicycle tourism of big & busy places like Bangkok, and a motivation to advocate for the Mother City as a more cycle-friendly city.

What started as five cheap mountain bikes rented out informally along the Sea Point Promenade quickly grew to over fifty Dutch-style cruisers, donated to the City of Cape Town by the Netherlands before the World Cup in 2010 and purchased from the Bicycling Empowerment Network.

Today the fleet is much bigger, with every steed painted our iconic shade of orange in a nod to the Netherlands as the spiritual home of the kind of bike-minded existence that we envision for the city of Cape Town.
